Registration 2025

It is a condition of acceptance of your presentation that: (1) at least one of the authors must present the paper (oral/poster/short-oral&poster) at the conference, and (2) the presenting author must make advance author registration with full reception from our Secretariat by and no later than June 18, 2025 (Strict due date) otherwise the Organizing Committee will neither be able to include the paper in the final program for presentation.

It has been the Biometal policy since 2009 that every participant (including the Organizing Committee members/Invited Speakers) attending a Biometal symposium must register and pay the author registration fees before the early bird deadline of June 18, 2025. Your understanding and cooperation in this matter will be greatly appreciated.

Moreover,

Early Registration is strongly recommended. When the number of registrations exceeds the capacity of the venue, the deadline for registration may be advanced and the symposium registration may be closed without prior notice. Onsite Registration will not be accepted. The onsite attendees of the 17th BIOMETAL 2025 must register here, in the inclusive format. Separate registration for the event and the lodging is not available. All participants must be registered with the plan offered by the Symposium, which includes registration fees, lodging, meals, coffee breaks and all activities at a very affordable rate. 

For presenting authors, once the abstract is accepted, registration must follow prior to the early bird registration deadline (June 18, 2025, strict). Accepted abstracts will be included in the program ONLY if their registration is received and paid by the secretariat by June 18, 2025 - early bird registration.

*American dollars (USD) are for reference only (approximate conversion valid as of December 22, 2024). All transactions will be made in Euros (official currency).

Notes:

• Payment must be done directly thru a bank transfer directly to the Conference organizer (in Euros funds).
• Fill in the registration form and on the last page of the process and select "Bank Transfer". You will receive a link for the bank information in your confirmation email within 15 minutes.
• **Triple rooms MUST be shared with other symposium student participants. For students and post-doc requesting to share a room with a family member (not attending the symposium), a single registration (1000 € before June 18) must be processed for the attendee, while an extra registration for the family member should be bought as soon as possible. First arrived first served. The organizing committee will not be responsible for late registration of family members.
• Accommodations will be handled on the online registration of this website. The Organizing Committee will consider your preferences but cannot guarantee them. The Registration fees include 5 nights all-inclusive (arrival Aug. 25th - departure Aug. 30th) accommodation at The Hotel Gran Michele.
• Please let the secretariat know as soon as possible (ideally by early May 2025) if you need extra nights, prior or after the conference. Prior, consider that prior (15-25 aug) is extra high season in Italy, and especially in this region. After, will be much easier and affordable. 

Registration Fee Includes:

• Full registration to the conference includes: Access to the conference, Symposium Abstract Book, Program, Welcome Reception, for all registered attendees,
• Internet access,
• Full lodging for 5 nights (see lodging options above),
• Full meals (from the Cocktail Dinner on Monday, August 25 to the breakfast on Saturday, August 30, 2025).

Registration will be exclusively online: First come, first served! 

Please note that the number of rooms is limited to 10 room (30 places) in triple occupancy room and 5 room (10 places) in double occupancy room, students and postdocs, at privileged rate; 65 rooms for single or double occupancy (academic or industrials).
We strongly suggest booking early. 
Please note that the conference location is rather remote, and it will not be easy to book rooms outside the hotel without renting a car. Please book early.

Deadline for Early bird Registration is June 18, 2025 and will not be postponed.

Payment Methods

Payment of registration fees in Euros € can be made as follows:

Symposium Registration fee Payment must be done by Bank Transfer only.

The information necessary to complete the bank transfer will be provided to you in the confirmation email that you will receive after you complete your registration.

When the transfer is completed you must send by e-mail ([email protected]) a scan of the Bank’s Telegraphic Transfer Remittance Form showing the payment together with the confirmation number issued by the Secretariat. The attendee must cover all fees related to his/her transaction for the bank transfer. 

Please note that Symposium Registration will be confirmed only upon receipt of the registration fee; Therefore, the letter for a visa cannot be sent as long as registration will not be received by our Secretariat.

Registration will only be valid upon receipt of the full payment by Conferium according to the deadline dates. You will receive an e-mail confirmation following receipt of the payment. Bank charges are the responsibility of the participant and should be paid at the source in addition to the registration fees.

Refund Policy

In case of a cancellation, the following will apply:

• Substitution of a participant that is unable to attend is always possible. A fee of 50 € will be charged.
• Before June 18, 2025, 75 € Cancellation fee,
• From June 19 to July 15, 2025, 250 € Cancellation fee,
• No refund is available after July 16th, 2025.
• The letter of invitation for visa application is 120 € if needed by priority mail. Not refundable.

Fraud warning:

Hotel Scam - There may be companies soliciting our participants by offering to book their hotel rooms for this event. Should you get a phone call or email from a Housing Management company, be aware that they have no relationship with Conferium or Biometal nor have they been authorized to book hotel rooms on our behalf.  Your room booking will be done exclusively by Conferium/Biometal.

Delegate List Scam - We do not sell delegate lists. Should you be contacted by a company offering to sell you a delegate list or any list, please be aware that they have no relationship with Conferium or Biometal nor have they been approved to promote the sale of our lists.
